Frequently Asked Questions β Germany
Is it really free to study in Germany?
Yes, public universities in Germany charge no tuition fees for international students β including Pakistani students. You only pay a semester administrative fee of approximately β¬200ββ¬350 per semester, which usually includes a regional public transport pass. Private universities do charge fees (β¬10,000ββ¬30,000/yr) but are generally not recommended for Pakistani students as public universities rank higher.
Can I study in Germany without IELTS?
Yes! Some English-medium programs in Germany accept MOI (Medium of Instruction) letters or have lower English requirements. Also, if you study in a German-taught program, you need German proficiency (B1βB2) instead of IELTS. Our team can identify the right programs for your profile.
What is Ausbildung and can Pakistanis apply?
Ausbildung is Germany's dual vocational training system β you work in a German company and study simultaneously for 2β3.5 years, earning β¬600ββ¬1,200/month. Yes, Pakistanis can apply! You need basic German (A2βB1), and we can help you find a training company (Ausbildungsbetrieb). This is an excellent route for students without university qualifications.
What is the blocked account (Sperrkonto) for Germany?
German immigration requires international students to prove they can cover their living costs. A Sperrkonto (blocked account) requires you to deposit β¬11,208 (updated 2026) into a special account. You can withdraw a fixed monthly amount (β¬934/month) once in Germany. We work with Fintiba and Deutsche Bank to set this up efficiently. This is approximately PKR 34 lakhs β we advise on the safest way to arrange this.
